Music Publishing Administrator

Create Music Group is an LA-based digital music company that provides artists and labels with distribution, rights management, and creative services. We monetize over 12 billion monthly music streams and have collected over $150 Million in previously unclaimed revenue for artists and labels. Clients include Future, JLo, City Girls, Marshmello, Don Diablo, Trippie Redd, Migos, Universal Music Group, and more.

SUMMARY:

The Publishing Administrator will be responsible for maintaining metadata, work/asset registrations, and settling split disputes with collection societies and publishers. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintaining and updating metadata in internal database
  • Resolving claim and asset disputes 
  • Completing manual registrations with collection societies
  • Taking and resolving inquiries from clients regarding music publishing-related issues
  • Researching catalogs, song histories, credits, and recording information
  • Onboarding new clients into our internal systems and collection societies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Music or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in music publishing administration
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to organize large amounts of data efficiently
  • Ability to conduct basic level research 
  • Knowledge of internet culture and social media platforms
  • Previous experience with data management systems preferred
  • Previous experience working with collections societies (ASCAP, BMI, Harry Fox, etc.) preferred
  • Previous experience  with Label Engine or other music distribution services (Distrokid, Tunecore, CD Baby, etc) preferred
  • Previous experience at a music publishing company or record label preferred

PAY SCALE:

  • $22.00 - $23.00/hour
