Summary

The Tax Director will lead Create’s internal tax function, coordinating with the Company’s 3rd party tax advisors and auditors. This role will cover all areas of tax across the Company, including the U.S. and Non-U.S. income tax provision, U.S. and non-U.S. income tax compliance, indirect tax compliance and planning, transfer pricing, structuring of M&A and legal entities, and inter-company agreement maintenance and tax audit management. You will be working extensively with the Finance, Data, Legal and M&A teams.

Responsibilities

  • Key leader on the Finance Team, reporting to the VP, Global Controller
  • Own the quarterly / annual tax estimates and provision process and related tax journal entries in accordance with the preparation of our U.S. GAAP financial statement
  • Oversee, coordinate with, and manage the Company’s 3rd party tax providers ensuring that all tax related issues are identified, communicated and resolved in a timely manne
  • Continue to iterate and evolve effective and operationally sound tax strategies to reduce future tax burdens for each subsidiary and the consolidated company
  • Own transfer pricing, internal management fees and intercompany agreements, identifiying strategies to reduce global tax burden
  • Review all tax compliance prepared by the Company’s 3rd party tax providers
  • Coordinate the tax review and audit process with the Company’s external financial statement auditors
  • Independently research tax related topics, including federal, state, and international tax developments that impact the Company
  • Maintain focus on potential tax legislative changes that will impact the company and brief relevant internal stakeholders on these matters.
  • Internally consult with other departments regarding the tax impact of new products, geographies, acquisitions, contract negotiations, significant transactions, etc.

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of a combination of experience within a public accounting firm and/or the corporate tax department of a multinational public company or growth/late-stage start-up 
  • Proficient understanding of U.S. income and indirect tax reporting matters
  • Exposure and perspective on international tax laws and structuring
  • Experience in M&A related tax positions and structuring
  • Skilled in developing and executing tax planning and risk reduction strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, CPA a plus


Pay Scale

  • $180,000 - $215,000/annually
